I've been scanned more by an exponential figure in the past six months or so than ever before. I went to ZA Pro so I could find out who was scanning me. Ninety percent are scans by my isp (Verizon) which I'm going to put a stop to by switching isps. The rest of scans are from an odd collection of companies and individuals from around the world. Lots of scans from China and Hong Kong. Also all over Europe. I wouldn't know a hacker if I saw one, but I sure am glad I have a firewall. I've also got a D-Link router sitting here in a box at my feet should a firewall not be enough.
