It's going to require the regional Arab leaders to be on board for the next "move" by Israel. I cannot think of any reason why this can't be negotiated. Bush, Putin, EEC leaders just have to show some resolution and the Palestinians should get the message.

Not likely. Remember what frank said about falling in love with an idea and becoming stupid? The Arabs are all in love with the idea that Israel is a European colony, like the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem, and if they can just harrass it and delegitimize it enough, one glorious day they will wake up and it will be gone. The Brits and the EU willingly ape the idea, as you just read in Fisk's column.
