I would hope they don't. Give the consumer the choice.

If the consumer runs a web page and that web page runs Java, then let the page decide where to send the user to get the JVM.

If I designed such a web page and I fully tested it with the Sun or Kaffe Java VM, I would much rather the user gets the one I designed & tested with to ensure the user experience.

Why would you propose that Sun gets special treatment for their JVM?
Is IBM to be denied?
Why not an open source version, ala Kaffe?
