Haim, Arafat is being sent back to the dung heaps of history by Sharon, who was prevented from eliminating his hoard in 1983 in Syria by the US. The only thing that has me intrigued, is how the US was able to convince the Iranians and Syrians to stop the Hezbollah from defending Arafat from the North, assuming that this is nothing more than a lull and time of battle lines being drawn. (more likely) If the guns from lebanon stay silent for too long, I may have to rethink my longer term views which centered on an invasion of Lebanon to clean out the Palestinains and Hezbollah and PLFP which operate from there and get forward Marine bases built from there in Camp Rhino fashion. It may be nothing more than preparations for a defending of Lebanon by Arafat Syria, Iran and Hezbollah as Lebonese territory and Jordanian terrority looks like it would be the most logical forward base for the US Marines and their Turkish-NATO allies on Iraq's other border. The reports of the US determination to arm and train insurgents within Iraq's borders, (the Kurds) similar to the way the Russian trainers armor and personnel who organized and supplied the thrusts with the Northern Alliance. But Iraq is no Afghanistan, although the theory behind the overthrow virtually the same. US Air Bobmardments, Turkish Special Forces, Israeli Reconnasince and Special Ops. Something is disturbing about the silence.
