Some help please. (Probably an easy fix, but haven't gotten involved with cabling before)

I recently picked up a Presario Notebook (12XL430) for my wife to use with her sewing/embroidery equipment which have serial ports.

This morning I noticed that the notebook doesn't have a nine-pin serial port, just a parallel and two USB's.

Are there cables (bi-directional) made to go from USB to serial and if so, any problems with configuration?

TIA,
ldo79
