I've never put down any hardwood flooring but I've watched it on TV. I would stay away from the glued down in case you want to change it later.

The pre finished come with some really good finishes now. I've got quite an expanse of Bruce hardwood that my wife was talking about replacing for some unknown reason. I asked an installer and he said it's $15 a sq ft and told me to leave it.

For the cost of the material you might want to have it professionaly installed to make sure you have no future problems.
