I agree with lights, especially for night travel. I would probably consider rear red lights for pavements crowded with "Gingers" to avoid crashing into slower "Ginger" riders.
It may also be worthwhile adding a "turning" light aka flashers, yellow is a good color.
Remember that "IT" can move backwards so reverse lights cannot be so bad.
Top speed is 12.5m/h. Say you are cruising at say 10m/h and that purple-colored teenager is going at 12m/h and you crash into each other...I am sure you know where I am going!!! BINGO! AIR BAG!! followed closely by horn to caution slow-lane elderly riders.
The souped-up jet-powered "Gingers"? Not to worry. Zoning will take care of those
