When I was growing up we had a cork floor in one room. I liked it. My mother had a nice Oriental rug in the middle of the room. While we were out to dinner one evening some dope kicked in the back door to the garage and stole the card that was my dad's Lenten pledge and the rug. My mother was so upset she had the room carpeted. Like that would stop the guy. The following February I caught a ride over to a gun show and bought a Remington BDL 7mm Magnum. $125, hell I was 15. That Sunday night it was snowing and I kept hearing a funny noise at the door. I figured what the hell, lets see if this new puppy works. When I slapped a round in the chamber the noise stopped. I opened the door and saw tracks. Followed them through 9 yards and saw a car driving off. My parents never had another break-in.
