peter: Pretty wild to think that AMD can already have developed such a competitive offering after entering this space only 6 months ago...Seems to be a fairly consistent outcome in any market in which AMD chooses to compete! I just finished reading PC Mag's comparison of P4 and Athlon XP's, and their conclusion that AMD XP 1800+ performs at least as well as P4 2.0 gig with the kicker being that the Athlon XP 1800+ was half the price of the P4 2.0 gig...PC awarded the Athlon XP 1800+ as their processor of the year!!!
