Hi S, Definitely worth the effort. We've been taking it to other people's dinner parties around the Holidays and it's been a hit, too. We threw a "Dickens Christmas Party" with friends a few years back, doing a goose and all sorts of things. The Figgie Pudding topped off the evening very nicely.

I don't think I can compare it to anything else I've ever had in the way of a desert. Remember when you were first offered Fruit Cake as a youngster? You probably THOUGHT it was going to be good, but you ended up spitting it out when nobody was looking, if you were like me! Well, this pudding is what you were expecting, not what you got!

:-)

Like I said, it's the richest desert I've ever had that didn't have chocolate in it.

It's really not that much effort, it's the steaming that just takes time. The sauce is a bit fussy with whipping up the cream, but not difficult. The recipe will serve 8 people easily.

Best regards, Tom
