There is so much poetic justice here, from every conceivable angle. And I can't imagine he's anything but glad to have gotten the living snot knocked out of himself. It's the only self-satisfaction, the only morsel of justification he's had since this all started.

Looks like a win-win for everyone. Who said life isn't fair?
