re Reference to Calpine as Private in newspaper article. The contrast is with B C Hydro which is publicly owned by the government and people of BC. Plus reporters have a remarkable propensity to get things wrong. As regards particulates, the system burns gas and the gas would not be absolutely clean. I think the point they were making is that the company said there would be no air quality effects and as a certain amount of particulates are produced , hence the 10 kg sacks, I don't know maybe 10 a day.
Exactly because SOFCs will be evolutionary you will remove the need to build very many large generators. We have many large generators now and the evolutionary growth of SOFCs can take up the increasing evolutionary demands very easily
