JDN, I don't know what you have now, but your dell will be a screamer. I would suggest you find out what kind of dimms it has and at many local. CompUsa, Staples, Office Max ... Best Buy. You can buy 256 meg dimms RDR for less than 100 bucks for this five minutes. It may continue this cheap but also could quickly go up. In an msft OS I'd go with a 1/2 gig. My linux machines are 1/2 and 1 gig systems. But I run with 30 to 60 browser windows and a few dozen other windows open at once.

Well I just did a pricewatch on dell 256mb RDRAM and I'm wrong. 119. Without the Dell it's 76 generic and that may be OK.

Then I just checked today's TICE report Taiwan IC Exchange, Inc.
the 256 generic dimm 25 to 32 from friday to today. But recent price up could just be a Christmas pop.

enjoy your MHZ oops GHZ.
