Look at my last post on the subject. It has been established that Sharon knew the slaughter would happen, knew it was happening while it happened, met with the Phalangist leaders while it was happening and let them back into the camps to continue, fired up flares throughout the night to help the Phalangists do their work and to help his men properly monitor the slaughter, etc. And the IDF was in command, so it was their responsibility. The U.S. begged him to stop the slaughter shortly after it started, but Sharon did not act. How can you excuse that?
