Also, He had over 400 witnesses to the truth of his Deity and ascension. I guess the religions that also claim the same thing must be secret else they would be well known by a few of us.
Well , Santiago ...since the first thing the fisherman , scribe , tax-collector and others (apostles) upon Jesus's crucifiction was to flee as far away from the city as they could ....they were some many miles away when Jesus died on the cross.
I guess some story had to be made up later to repair that very " convincing" display of faith on the Apostles part , as they didn't prove to be very loyal or strong at the end ....or very willing to die with their teacher.
400 witnesses ?
Yes that is quite amazing to hear , let alone believe. There were 20,000 witnesses or more too , that Moses went up on the mountain to recieve the commandments of from God . Problem is today , that they cannot find the mountain . <g>
Jesus warned that there would be many false teachers who claimed to be him; and there were.
well Santiago , again to quote from your own scriptures
by their acts will you know them
I don't suppose Mahatma Ghandi qualifies as a saint in your book ? And since you have extensively studied Hinduism , you are thoroughly familiar with the Son of God and Savior/Messiah of that religion known as --->Krishna that 1Billion Hindus believe in?
The gospels of Krishna predates Jesus by a wide margin, as does the life of Buddha , where many of the maxims and finest teachings of Jesus had already been told .
