Air Methods Expands Flight Service Operations in Florida and Oregon
DENVER, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM) announced today that its Air Medical Services Division has secured an additional hospital-based contract and expanded another.
Air Methods has been selected to provide air medical transportation services to Miami Children's Hospital located in Miami, Florida. Under this new agreement, which will provisionally commence on April 1, 2002, Air Methods will operate a hospital-owned Sikorsky S-76A+ with a staff of eight pilots and three mechanics.
Additionally, in the first quarter of 2002, Air Methods will be expanding its partnership with Air Life of Oregon through the addition of a third hospital-owned Pilatus PC-12 airplane. The aircraft will be based in La Grande, OR, and will provide enhanced services to Oregon and surrounding states.
