Yeah, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans tried to recruit me with the lure of a program on Conscientious Objectors in the Confederacy. What satisfies me about my life is that when I was a child I could get an ice-cream cone for what was then 5 cents, while a bottle of really bad beer cost my father 35 cents. Now (at least at the supermarket and in a six-pack) I can get a bottle of Sam Adams, a Heinekins, a Grolsch, a Dos Equus, a Molson's, or any number of other excellent and imported beers and ales for about the same price as the cheapest ice-cream cone.
