Docucorp's Transall v10.2 Upgrade Supports XML Business Editors and High Tech Writers
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2001-- Docucorp(R) Nasdaq:DOCC.Q), a leading provider of enterprise information solutions, today announced general availability of Transall V10.2, the universal data translator that extracts, translates and loads (ETL) data from a variety of systems. With Version 10.2, Transall supports reading and writing eXtensible Markup Language (XML), the universal format for structured documents and data on the Web.
"As companies struggle with growing requirements for enterprise wide application integration to support initiatives such as CRM, EAI, Internet projects and cost-savings initiatives, they need a simple, quick, inexpensive option to enable data interchange between applications," said Bruce Dale, Docucorp's senior vice president, products. "This requirement exists both in projects linking legacy applications to new Web and Internet initiatives, and in projects linking traditional host applications that have never needed to communicate between themselves.
"Docucorp's Transall offers an effective tool to allow a technical staff to quickly, easily and inexpensively develop processes that accept data from multiple sources and in multiple formats, translate and manipulate that data into the new data ouputs needed and put these processes into production," Dale added. "With V10.2, Transall now extends this flexibility to include import and export of data in XML, without requiring custom design and development of bridging programs that are too expensive, take too long and tie up valuable and scarce programmer resources."
Transall is compliant with the XML 1.0 recommendation and associated standards as developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Transall runs on open platforms, including Windows 95, 98, 2000, and NT.
