Identix Takes Its Premier Live Scan System Global; Opens Additional Commercial,
Applicant and Law Enforcement Markets Worldwide

(Nasdaq: IDNX) today announced that it has taken its premier Live Scan
technology global via the introduction of comprehensive international
localization and customization capabilities for the Identix TouchPrint(TM)
2000 Live Scan System (TP 2000). Already recognized as a leading provider of
Live Scan technology in North America with deployments in more than 30 states,
as well as in Mexico and Canada, Identix is expanding the reach of its FBI
Appendix F-certified, Live Scan technology to the global markets. The Identix
TP 2000 is recognized for providing superior clarity and quality through its
high-resolution scanner images. Identix international localization capability
adds a new dimension to the extensive customization capacity of the
application-rich TP 2000 environment, providing compatibility for major
language families including Latin, Germanic, Asian/Ideographic, Semitic and
Cyrillic. International users can have their TP 2000 systems customized with
system-wide language and character presentation, customized keyboard data
entry control, hardcopy printing, localized operator prompts, and system user
and error messages. This enhanced capability enables widespread adoption of
Identix' Live Scan technology.

Scan systems customized in the Russian and Spanish languages at the
International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Toronto, Canada on
