Z, here are the advantages Microsoft gains by going with Intel:

1) Reliable supplier (thanks Elmer)
2) Acceptable thermal specs
3) Cheap (P3 die size is slightly smaller than Duron, plus Intel has economies of volume)
4) Intel makes and validates the motherboard

And here are the advantages Microsoft could have gained by going with Duron:

1) Better FPU
2) nVidia doesn't need to make Intel version of chipset

Most AMDroids think Intel won the X-Box on price alone thanks to AMD's sour grapes. Most AMDroids are wrong.

P.S. - Unlike others on this thread, I don't consider you to be an AMDroid. I think your posts do have a hint of bias, but hey, who isn't biased?
