Reuters Top Stories News At Least 30 Wounded as Bus Shot at in W.Bank Dec 12 11:49am ET JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen threw grenades and opened fire at a bus near the Jewish settlement of Immanuel in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, wounding at least 30 people, ambulance officials and witnesses said. A volunteer rescue worker at the scene said several people were killed but there was no immediate confirmation. Ambulance officials said five people were in critical condition from the attack. Isahal Otner, a passenger on the bus, told Army radio a grenade was thrown at the back of the bus and gunfire was sprayed at the vehicle as it turned a corner on the approach to the settlement. "There was a huge explosion in the back of the bus...all the windows of the back of the bus were destroyed...the bus continued slowly about 100 yards and people lay on the ground. Ambulance workers said they were targeted with fresh gunfire when they arrived at the scene. At least six ambulances rushed in to treat the wounded, ambulance officials said.
