I am saying that the close timing of it all indicates more a pricing issue than anything else. You usually don't decide right before you make the grand announcement when there are other issues than pricing.

Even if this was true, what makes you think that Intel's price was below AMD's price. Just as an example they may have decided that given the risk, AMD would have to go below $25 to make them a better deal than using Intel at $35.
