well, one man's slave wages are another man's first step out of poverty...and thank God the ANC has dropped its socialist past and is now a reform minded and market oriented party. the industrialized nation's liberals who yammer about slave wages from afar never appear to consider that destroying the competitive advantages of third world countries only serves to worsen poverty there. in fact, the success of SA's COSATU (trade union umbrella organization) in regularly getting wage increases for its members above the inflation rate has been a big contributor to SA's dismal unemployment situation imo.

and yes, Cape Town is highly recommended...a very nice place to live.
