Jim, so far so good for Lam. I see that it closed on the high for the day. I hope
that bodes well for tomorrow. If I've learned anything over the years it that it is
awful difficult to predict tomorrow's stock price.

A friend was telling me that five analysts, six months ago, each picked their
favorite stock for appreciation. After they picked their individual stocks a
dart was used at Nasdaq to pick the sixth. Guess what, the dart won.

I didn't invest in more Lam today. Instead I invested in Kulicke & Soffa.
Same industry as Lam and earnings fast approaching and selling at half
the price.

I don't think this is the time to be on the sidelines.

My current stocks are LRCX, APLX, COMS, and KLIC. If the market has
really changed direction then these should do well. If not then I can sell. Too
many people here at SI when they buy a stock get personally involved.
We all pick losers sometime. The key is knowing that they are and selling.
The tendency is to blame the analysts for any of their stocks which go
down and credit themselves when the stocks go up.

The key to investing in the tech stocks is not to adopt, just hold for a
little while.
