James I don't have any other research sites for you.

I'm very interested in the reason for the change to Corel. One of the key areas for Corel to be very successfully is the need to gain more market share from MS in the office suit area since they don't plan to raise prices. MS has a strangle hold in the Office suites.

I'll give you a brief rundown on how things have been unfolding in the last year. When Corel last year purchased WP the shares have been falling from a $24 cdn high to present $9 CDN with a low of $7 in Apr/May. The reason for the fall is that no EPS and investors nervousness about Corel taking on MS. Well Corel is still around and now they are turning in profits that are small but still profits. WP-8 has gotten rave reviews. The CEO Dr. Cowpland has stated he expects that next year windows products will be the minority product and Java products will be the money maker and that's why they are developing Office Java. And I'm guessing that all of there other products will be converted over in the next year.

Now from a investing point of view you have to make a decission. Java is a programming language that makes this following statement possible.
If consumers want platform-independent applications that doesn't crash their machine and let them communicate effectively with anyone then you say Corel is on the right track. The problem is that this is a concept and a great one. There isn't any system out there yet and I don't want to hear Applix from my buddy out there they don't count.
But hopefully sooner than later the products will be there. This is why IMHO Corel is undervalued.
Corel has strategic alliances with Novell (they hold a large chunk of Corel shares with WP acquasition), Netscape, and Sun.

The MM are saying show me the product (beef) before they buy in.

But if you believe MS and its FUD then Corel will have a hard time making any major money. Like I said before MS is working on Java behined closed doors.
