Enjoyed all the discussion recently since the announcement (although lone-gone tests our patience).
Thanks to CatLady for the "that's impossible" list of historical quotes (including a few I had not heard before).
Love to take one for a test drive.
Like that Kamen characterizes it as a extension of the pedestrian, hat it is not intended as a small car. So, hopefully it does not need to be burdened with headlights, taillights, back-up lights, horn, air-horn, GPS receiver, front airbag, rear airbag, side airbag, 6-speaker stereo, A/C, windshield, wipers, heated seat (hmm, not such a bad idea in this case - I do like the idea of sitting, and dismissal of the control stick, as one of the readers mentioned [I think he's a biker]), insurance, inspections, federal regulations, blah, blah, woof, woof. Something nice about the (designed-in) simplicity. And it's technically elegant & sophisticated, too.
I think DEKA intends to perfect their Stirling engine work, and roll that into SHT; improved range would be good.
Not sure where (application, locale, consumer demographic, etc) this will succeed, but the urban areas have become real rats nests of autos, it's sickening, it's overdone, and the gridlock is sometimes all one can bear. We could use some innovation. Bring it on!
