A Funny Thing Happened At 3:14 Today Which Probably Had A Lot To Do With The Bullish Close

Having turned back with the third lower high attempting to take out 1132 from 11:18 this morning at 3:11, and then put in 3 down minutes, at 3:14 the TRIN drops from almost 1.5 to 1.25. This concentrated buying reversed the trend and essentially accounted for the positive close.

If you look at a 1 minute chart of the TRIN just how unusual a change of this magnitude can easily be seen.

I wonder why anyone would engage in massive buying after the index just turned down from the third of three lower highs, the stochastics are way overbought and the average is already outside the Bollinger band?

Perhaps someone who doubts that the market is being supported could explain why an investor would engage in that type of activity under those circumstances?
