Art, I have not had problems with color fastness.

I have noticed, however, that the matte paper tends to be more saturated and pleasing to
the eye. A happy medium would be a semi-gloss paper with similar color saturation.

In addition to somewhat less vibrant colors with the glossy paper, my Epson also
produces dark browns in heavily saturated areas such as shadows or when the subject
is dark haired, for instance. It is an unpleasing brown similar I would describe as
"tobacco juice" or bronze. It reminds me of grasshopper spit, if you know what I mean.

I know, it sounds terrible, but it looks terrible, too. And I don't recall Benjamin Moore
producing any "tobacco juice" or "grasshopper spit" tinted paints the last I checked.

I think we still have a way to go before we approximate standard photographic
processes, but we are damned close right now.
