geeeeez, for a company of fewer than 750 employees, they sure make a lot of meaningless noise... Sonus Networks (SONS:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research) was down 10.5% in midmorning, falling sharply for the second consecutive session. The communications equipment maker on Thursday announced that it would cut 150 employees -- 21% of its workforce -- a week after it warned of losses for the third-quarter and the year. Sonus, which tumbled 8.5% on Friday, cited a downturn in customer orders.
