New Diamond Thingy in Nunavut/NWT,...aka,...The Coronation play, The Rockinghorse play, and the Jericho play and points around and in between (gggggggggg)
Tahera(TAH.t) has the best liquidity for a quick in and out, they also have the most advanced pipe with lots of big diamonds, Jericho (During 1997, the underground bulk sample taken from one of the kimberlites, the Jericho pipe was treated at a 10 tonne-per hour diamond pilot plant constructed at the Lupin Gold Mine site, 28 kilometers south of the Jericho pipes. Results from this exercise were encouraging. A total of 10,539 carats of diamonds at a cut-off of 1mm were recovered from 9,400 tonnes of kimberlite treated. The presence of an unusual number of larger stones (the largest gem quality stone was 23.8 carats in weight, and they have found a 40 and a 30 carat stones but they weren't gem)
Tahera has joint ventures with Rio Tinto, BHP and Ashton and some interesting results at Rockinghorse play - Anuri (big 0.75 carat diamond found).
Ashton (ACA.t) is getting the "Kaiser" attention and a lot of hype because of the relationship with Rio Tinto. Not as liquid as Tahera. They have run the most so far, with a market cap above $100 million.
De Bums have a relationship with Rhonda (RDM.v), but results are slow in coming. Should climb if one of the others hits something interesting in the Coronation.
Diamondex (DSP.v) and Navigator (NVR.v) round out the play,..both have land around Ashton's Artemisia pipe and Rhonda's Knife pipe. And don't forget Hornby (YHB.v) who are a 30 km Northwest of Artemisia. As Ashton has run away for the time being, Diamondex and Navigator might be a good position to grab a piece of Coronation play, and still have a fallback in other projects just in case it blows up in Ashton's face.
I'm sitting with freebies in the main three, but for a new position I might edge towards Tahera, Rhonda and DSP and NVR because they are much cheaper in share price and market cap but still have deep pocketed partners. Tahera has by far the most to show for their efforts at this point, and the Jericho pipe complex is about to get a pile of money thrown at it by Rio Tinto who will drill 20 kimberlite targets this winter. Jericho is close to the Lupin Mine, and has the best chance right now of becoming a mine complex, likely with Rio Tinto.
If things really start flying around at Coronation, it would be nice to have some DSP, NVR, and RDM and perhaps YHB. Tahera would get left out here as their nearest properties are about 50 km or so further south at Hood River and Rockinghorse.
