I think the PPT are the commercials. Goldman and the boys. A lot of their activities, in the end, just add up to good trading. Buying fear selling greed. They may have another motive but I think they make profits with their propping. In this era of trend followers and dip buyers a couple of upticks and everyone piles in. The long contracts and the short contracts are always equal (open interest). Every contract has a counterparty who also reports. The COT's tell the number of long and short contracts for the commercials. Determine the amount that they are net long or short and subtract from the net amount long or short of large and small spec's and badda bing.
