Yes, I was a recent holder of STDM and a current holder of STLC. I bought and sold STDM on technicals only. For me to own STDM long term
would require a better historical and fundamental understanding of the company. Because of what I saw happen at STLC (granted, STDM does not have the same problems as STLC) I think spending time watching price trends is in order. STDM just came off a substantial drop. The sideways channel forming is neutral at best. Price can go either way.
So, while I do the research, I have time to see where prices go. Had investors of STLC done something like this, there wouldn't have been so many losses in the $1-$5 range. With that said, I don't think many would have guessed that a company with $50 million in core sales and 30% margins could possibly be selling for $.03 per share (sold as low as $.015 last week). Since STDM is in the same sector as STLC and markets similar products, I must be cautious.
