To all,
At the risk of sounding like a tout, and not sure if anyone cares, but - I'm liking LHSPF more and more these days (and FONX less and less, but that's another thread). LHSPF acquired additional text-to-speech technology today (I don't do links, but I found the news on Yahoo). They are far more than a voice recognition company or a development stage company; they have products in voice recognition, text-to-speech, and a couple other areas on the market, they're public, and they're profitable. As far as I can tell, the only thing "not to like" is their use of Hidden Markov Modelling for their voice recognition technology, which some people claim is a dead end, and cannot take us to the next level of voice recognition capabilities. I don't quite understand why, but this may just be me being a little dense. In any case, it looks like a company on a roll for the moment. If the Memphis rumors turn out to be true...
