justin hit the nail right on the head, i'm sure. msft is ignoring code win32 doesn't need to compile java. that's the only reason it's fast, imo. how hard will it be to do the same in the netscape jvm? 2 weeks.... please. who cares. need i remind everyone that msft's jvm in 3.0 was faster than ours in 3.0 and our 4.0 was faster than theirs. it's a cat a mouse game. in the long run, cross platform jvm's are all that matters and msft has no interest in them nor will they ever. :)
