"do you have an opinion on special creation?"

Wasn't sure you were looking for religious discussion or bantering about logic and truth. So here goes. And I hope not to get any crap (although discussion is good) about what I believe on this SUBJECTIVE subject. Religion is not math or science or technology. It is faith.

If special creation is referring to Adam and Eve I will have to say that I do not believe it literally. I view that as a story about the creation of man and good and evil in a way that was understandable to people a few thousand years ago. I believe the bible was inspired by God, but was written by man. The New Testament is sort of like a revise in my mind that updated the message to fit with the times, and is a more true to what I beleive God is like. I do believe that Jesus is the son of God in that he had God's message 1st hand and delivered it to the people. Not sure about the literal interpretaion of his mother being a virgin. As far as creation in general I think God created the conditions for life with humans being closest to him. Don't believe that God looks just like a human. In fact (hope nobody gets mad), that seems kind of silly to me. Can't picture a guy with a beard residing in the cosmos somewhere.

That's a start. My view in no way belittles or makes any other views incorrect. I respect all honest views on religion.

Also - I think that people will be judged, and that their judgement will be based more on their character and behavior while on earth than whether they made the correct decision on whether Jesus is the son of God. All good people of all faiths and no faith have a chance to get to the next level, whatever that is.
