AMD started the price war when Jerry Sanders introduced the K6 and crowed that AMD would sell the K6 at 25% less for the same performance. In the Droid folk lore, it is always Intel's fault that AMD loses money. But the reality is that Jihad Jerry is the one that has taken AMD into the red for 5 out of the last 6 years.
