What harm to the U.S. or the world will come with the develpment of such a system?
The harm to unilaterally rejecting treaties of war and defense is greater than the projected threat of missles. I would love a nice missle defense here if someone would just give it to us and nobody minded. That's not the case, this isn't coming for free both in terms of money and in terms of the trust that our friends and foes will now place in our treaties.
