Well you know I have some objections to a lot of the research involving stem cells, but even if I didn't, I wish the answer to something being "over the line" would be to not do it, even if you couldn't find another alternate procedure. If we knew bin Laden was in a city, we would not nuke the city to get him, even if it meant he would almost certainly get away. If we could find an alternate plan great but nuking the city should be considered over the line even if there was no other way.
