However, since their is an obviously better measure, the use of the poorer measure when so little is at stake is a sure sign of a biased presentation. You have to assume that that bias is just the tip of the iceberg.

If small cases of such less then ideal presentation are assumed to mean that the source is biased, and that the bias is only the tip of the iceberg, then we have to throw out the data and arguments of almost anyone making a case on environmental issues.

For example on the global warming issue, depending on what set of data you pick, and what time period you select from the starting point you could make the case that the earth is heating alarmingly fast or that it is cooling. It seems like everyone chooses that data that they can spin in such a way as to support their argument.
