I don't think he's wrong. For what it's worth, I have some large charts posted on my wall of the DOW going back to 1800. The 1857 decline was of supercycle degree which corrected wave 1. The 1929 peak ended wave 2 and was also of supercycle degree. If that's true, then wave 5 just ended and we may get a bear of grand supercycle degree that will correct everything going back more than 200 years. It's a scray thought.

For the 5th wave, it started at the lows of 1933, and wave 2 went from 1939 to 1943...it was a zigzag correction and took quite a bit off the market but not like 1929 did. Wave 4 was the mid 1970's bear that was a flat...nice fulfillment of the rule of alternation. Again, it took a lot off the markets but nothing like 1929 so they are of similar degree. I have the 5th of the 5th starting in 1978 with wave 2 here being the 1980-1982 dip and wave 4 being the early 1900's bear as a running correction. The 1987 drop was a corrective wave 4 within wave 3. Thus the 5th of the 5th of the 5th started around 1994 and ran up to Sept 2000.

Wollanchuk missed the boat on his wave 3 of 3 he keeps calling for because it was wave 5 that extended. If we do get the grand supercycle bear it should last for quite a number of years. Tentatively I have us being at the end of wave B of a flat off the highs with wave C possibly already starting. In reality, once that flat completes, it could merely be part of an even larger 3-3-5 flat and we would still have wave B and C to go.
