Ten, >The translations reportedly say that bin Laden and his companions were "overjoyed" regarding Sept. 11th.

He didn't look overjoyed, like that video of Palestinians dancing in the street on 9/11. He tried to look business-like I guess. The wording about the attacks exceeding all expectations WRT death and destruction was almost like a CEO describing a wonderful quarter. The word chilling was used by the media over and over. Maybe if those folks got hold of some of the fruits of Western success, they'd be less bent on destroying us. OTOH, they use cell phones and computers. I don't know what their (and thus our) problem is. The best I've seen is that it goes back hundreds or thousands of years; a crusades in reverse thing.

Globex futures started off down a bit after the Oracle so-so report, now up a bit. Intel (and, OK, AMD) are looking better each day with what they said last week compared with, like Merck, AEX, AMAT, Oracle (toughest quarter in 10 years).
