I don't think he can easily speak for the entire board on this. After all, Hewlett is a member of the board too. As are a couple of Wall Street types who are probably feeling the heat for supporting the merger. I seriously doubt they'll all resign.

Ditto for management. No doubt Carly would resign, as would some of the people she brought with her. But if you look at HP's upper management, most of them are long-term HP folks. Generally they don't have the lucrative packages Carly got. I'd expect most of them to stay on.

Not that I think a shakeup of the board would be a bad thing. I think one thing this episode has shown is how disfunctional they are as a group. In looking at the composition, I wonder exactly WHAT they think half of those people bring to the job...
