I am trying to figure out how almost all the US stocks trading in Frankfurt can be down this morning, and the index futures can be up.

BTW I have concluded that you may be pretty good on stocks (Templeton claims to be happy with a 66% success), but you really know bonds.

But what about credit and principal risk to the paper in some of the money market funds? There seems to be a WSJ article this morning about losses on Enron paper.

I think the Fed is going all out to prevent any kind of panic in any area of finance, but it may get out of their control. Could defaults on short term unsecured paper work like bank failures?
