Veridien Corporation and DuPont Sign Letter of Intent
Strategic Alliance to Sell Veridien and Other Products To Be Jointly Developed
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2001--VERIDIEN Corporation (OTCBB:VRDE - news) and DuPont Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (NYSE:DD - news), signed a Letter of Intent to enter into a strategic alliance to manufacture and distribute Veridien's patented disinfectant and antiseptic Viraguard product line, SunSwipe(TM), BugSwipe(TM), and other products to be jointly developed in the United States and Canada. ``Veridien and/or affiliates would arrange for the manufacture of the products and DuPont would oversee the distribution and sales.'' Further, ``DuPont would assist, participate and fund further testing of the products to be jointly marketed.''
The Letter of Intent also contemplates that Veridien may distribute certain DuPont disinfectant/sterilant product(s) in Canada and the United States which product(s) are complimentary to Veridien's product offerings.
The terms of the Letter of Intent will be binding upon the signing of further definitive agreements.
