Alan and Jalali: A company never mentioned here is a Swedish software firm called Scala. I believe they would qualify as a competitor. They have a fantastic product with international appeal, it is Microsoft Back-Office certified, and it is just beginning to be heavily marketed in the U.S.. The new version, Scala 4.1 had a late delivery and a slow start, but sales in the US exceeded company expectations by 50% in the first quarter. A refined version, much more friendly to US users, will be available later this year. From all I have seen, this is an incredibly powerful system, handles 30 different languages, 100+ currencies, etc. I would appreciate any opinions from anyone with experience with the product.
