OFF TOPIC. Yaacov and all, It certainly is good to have a thick skin. I have a German surname and I speak with an accent. The immediate reaction of a good number of Jews is to brand me as a Nazi. I have compared notes with my brother, retired civil service, Fairfield county, Virginia, and he expressed sadness of the curse of having the Jews hate us because of our German surname, speaking English with an accent and being in the 60 plus age group.
The educated Jews, of which I have many friends, praise the Danish people for helping the Jews escape to Sweden during the war.
I did, however, end up quiting SWYC Yacht Club after 18 years because of bigots. Who needs them, especially when you no longer have a boat needing a slip. I joined the wrong yacht club, but I simply did not know the cruelty that some members of our society will display towards others. I guess this group thinks of themselves as dedicated Nazi hunters, but their wreckless ways hurt a lot of people.
Born to US citizens, but raised in Denmark, we lived through World War II, and have deep feelings for the horrors that took place.
