The problem with many universities is they teach "single loop learning" skills. In other words, the Professor puts out the information, and the students memorize and spill it back at him/her in the form of papers and such.

"Double loop learning" where you challenge the assumptions around which the ideas are presented, typically only occurs at the masters level.

Since so many professors are radical leftists, and grades are the rewards for performance, your typical college graduate receives an indocrination instead of an education.

There are many exceptions of course. But for the majority this is sadly true.
