If you vote for the merger, the Compaq "can do" culture will run all over the HP culture. The HP way will be history. The HP Board and Carly want that to happen. They couldn't change the culture on their own. Now they will use this merger to change it.

It might say hp on the door after the merger, but will be CPQ running the show.

If you vote against the merger, you top management leaves the company. Compaq collects $675 million and continues with plan B.

Looks like HP top management doesn't really give a hoot about HP shareholders. Compaq is handling the situation with maturity and street smarts.

HP is in a lose lose situation. Compaq is in a win win situation.
