Rob,

Is Intel going to require that one of their graphics chips is shipped with each P2? That's the important question. You seem to assume they will, I'm not so sure. (Else I wouldn't own this stock.) It doesn't make for good business sense (relations with boxmakers, other suppliers, etc) for Intel to require that every customer of theirs buy an Intel graphics chip if they want a P2.

First, there's the question of how good will Intel's chip be? They've pushed it back a bunch; every time it gets delayed, do they go back to the drawing board and add the transistors required to keep it up to date with the next generation of chips? I don't know the answer, honestly, but I've read some analysis that seems to say they don't.

Second, there's the question of how much does it cost? S3 has made a name for themselves as the market leader in "bang-for-buck." Has Intel?

Intel currently offers motherboards with built-in S3 chips. I tend to believe that they will do the same with their own graphics chip. I don't deny that S3 will have to fight against the Intel chip, but I will argue that it will be a fairer fight than you are forecasting.
