The discussion today has turned a little "yellow" for me to understand so in an effort to shade I am more comfortable with I will put forth a "black" gold URL. <g>

Anadarko is becoming somewhat of a bellweather company with their recent aggressive moves into the Canadian patch. They recently did a presentation that shows some of the thinking behind these moves. Keeping in mind that they need to put a positive spin on their activities, I have come to the conclusion that the industry is setting itself up for a run which may come on quicker than the current fundamentals might indicate.

I believe we are in an environment where little risk exists in the short to medium term in investing in Canadian oilfield service stocks and am reacting accordingly. The companies continue to put forth solid numbers, trading multiples are very low and reflect close to if not all of the slowdown currently in place.
Sense a shift in the optimism in Calgary and keep in mind that we are entering our busiest 4 months and everyday that goes by is one day closer to the inevitable squeeze that WILL take place where production declines will occur while demand is ramping.

Continue to enjoy the dialogue from afar and get a kick out of our sister threads. Being that I am starting my Christmas holidays next week I would like to be one of the first to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
